The card
The suit of Pentacles is about building in the physical realm and the Ace of Pentacles is the first stepping stone on the path to doing so. On the back of the cards there is a single pattern from an Ancient Greek mosaic representing the ability to alchemize an abstract feeling into the material world. It sits over the tumultuous background of Turner’s sea/sky painting accompanied by four dolphins - the intuitive allies that will help you navigate the most practical of all the suites.
Sitting on an abstracted Turner landscape, the central pentacle signifies the transitive nature of reality--an unchanging object in a turbulent sky. Four fish surround the pentacle denoting the bounty derived from the coin’s value. A coin is only as valuable as the value that is assigned to it, otherwise it is worthless.
