The historical signal
In the early-twentieth-century “Modern Use” system, this card concerns a warning around unprofitable effort.
The card
The warning is not to abandon work but to distinguish devotion from an enterprise that survives by consuming you. Its Jungian task is discrimination within work, craft, and association: separating intuition from fear and genuine warning from an old complex in a new hat. The dashboard is amber, not apocalyptic.
What deserves closer examination before you call it fate?
For today: review one ongoing project and write the condition under which it remains worth doing.
