The card
We have no myths from this culture, no names for its gods, nothing but the objects themselves and the silence around them — and that silence has its own texture, once you stop trying to fill it. The Two is that same texture felt from the inside: the first, barely-noticeable stirring at the base of the spine, awareness returning before it has anything to say about itself. Jung called this the threshold of consciousness, the space between the dream and the waking that neither state fully owns. There's an old teaching that the point of meditation was never to reach a state, but to notice you'd already arrived. This card is that noticing, still half-asleep, already true.
What's stirring in you that you haven't yet given a name to?
For today: notice one thing you're becoming aware of without rushing to define it.
