The card

The most common Cycladic pose — arms folded across the chest — has been read by different scholars as protection, as prayer, as grief, and no one reading has ever won out over the others. The Queen carries that same held vulnerability: hands close to the heart, open to what's next, but not unguarded about it. Jung's anima emerges here at the threshold between conscious and unconscious, bringing new ideas across that boundary but only when the reader has actually made room to receive them. Surrender doesn't mean defenselessness. It means being open on purpose, which is a very different, much harder thing.

What are you protecting even as you stay open to what's coming?

For today: make space for one new idea, even if it means staying a little vulnerable to receive it.
