Queen of Spades

Some Enlightenment women ran salons so influential that the philosophers writing history's great texts did so, quite literally, at their tables — power that operated entirely through intellect and never once needed to raise its voice. The Queen stands exactly this way: certain, resolved, no longer needing to prove anything to anyone in the room. Jung's animus, fully individuated, looks like her — discriminating judgment married to real self-possession, not aggression pretending to be clarity. The downward gaze in this card isn't submission. It's a woman who has already fought the battles behind her and doesn't need to keep re-litigating them in front of you.
