Three interrupts a stale duel with a witness, consequence, or unexpected form. A short crossing asks for enough reason to navigate and enough humility to admit that water does not respect rhetoric. This is Jung's transcendent function at work in thought, conflict, and restraint: not compromise, but a third position born from sustained friction.
